What is it, in summary?: Andrea (Andi) Carson loves motocross, despite the fact that her father finds her unsuited for the sport, being that she is "just a girl". When her twin brother Andrew dislocates his knee just before a big race, their father is forced to go to Europe to find a replacement rider. In the meantime, Andrea secretly races in Andrew's place with her mother's help. The movie is a loose adaptation of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. (from Wikipedia)
What do you love about it?: This movie is very gender, and despite being a Disney movie from the early 2000's, it holds up surprisingly well. The main antagonist is Andi's dad (and the overall environment) rejecting girls in motocross as it's "too dangerous", and the whole point of the movie is "how 'bout I do it anyway, and better." It is endearingly charming, and set up well for gender exploration for Andi and queer interpretations of the main characters.
What sort of things are you likely to request for it?: Andi or Andi/Dean. Would love to see some works for trans or non-binary Andi, and/or the "oh no they're hot" realization from Dean making him realize he's bi/pan (perhaps even before he knows Andi's secret)
Content warnings: Disney Channel levels of early-2000's misogyny (be careful dude, they might call you a girl!)
