My letter probably isn't very useful for art, but I'd love artwork for all of these! For the book fandoms, any kind of visual take on what the characters or the settings might look like would be great; for the visual fandoms, something character-centric would be great. Any art style, though I often particularly like strong colours or stark contrasts.

I love art that focuses on one tiny moment in canon and puts it in the spotlight, AU moments of what might have been, or missing scenes. Action or domestic, romantic or angsty or both. Characters touching, or looking at each other. I also love portraits, or for worldbuilding, depictions of scenery, objects, maps ... Maybe spaceships for the SF books, something involving clock faces for the Time Engraver, or something steampunky for Nantucket or 1632. General art likes: I'm not a visual artist, so I always have trouble explaining just what I like in terms of art, but generally, if you draw my nominated characters, I'll be delighted! There's very little I don't like in terms of art!
I tend to like domesticity and tenderness, realistic colors, characters interacting in the art (as opposed to solo shots - though I like solo shots too). I like a focus on clothes, too, if you're going SFW - especially as I've requested mostly historical canons (all except Oliver Appropriate). Of course, smut is also always good - you can see my smut likes on my letter for what I like there (there's really nothing in my likes - general or smut-specific - that I wouldn't like to see in art!)

Prompts: I'd like to see something that captures their dynamics – Francesca/Michael and Hyacinth/Gareth are two of my favorite Bridgerton couples, and I would love to see them at any point! I love how devoted to each other Francesca and Michael are (and would also love to see Michael mooning hopelessly over Francesca while she and John aren't looking). I love how Hyacinth is self-assured and intelligent and stubborn and Gareth loves her for it! Or, if you'd like to go the gen route, I'd love to see any combo of these characters with other Bridgertons + spouses (except Phillip).

Art is absolutely witchcraft to me and I'm impressed by many of the forms it takes. All of my prompts and general likes (and dislikes) absolutely pertain to what I like to see in art; that includes always being excited for explicit artwork if that's what you wanna make! My only art-specific DNWs are manips & the Byzantine/Gothic styles (...don't @ me; I do, however, like Romanesque, Insular, and Illuminated Manuscript styles, if your personal style lends itself to an iconoclastic influence and you were sad that I don't like Byzantine).

The most important thing for me in art is the composition/subject matter. I enjoy looking at things, finding little details, decoding symbolism — and because of that, I typically enjoy a wide range of styles. For me you can't go wrong with genre scenes or an emotional or pivotal moment that looks like it could be proudly displayed in the middle of a chapter — or even as the 'cover' of a comic book, novel, or DVD box. On the other hand, when I tell you I would love something completely stylized or abstracted so you have to truly think about how it fits!!!!

I adore details (hands, eyes, body postures or positioning, et cetera), in case you'd like to zero in on that rather than doing anything full-bodied. I also wouldn't mind a landscape piece where you really have to hunt for the character(s) hidden within. For styles, I enjoy everything from Realistic, comic-book or anime & similar styles, to especially abstract & stylized takes! From a design perspective, I adore sketch-like and rough-edged pieces, as well as any sort of coloring that is "messy"/goes "outside" the lines. That said, if you have the time and inclination for a fully finished piece, I would be over the moon.

In terms of color palettes & style/mood/composition, I'm especially into Renaissance Art, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, Luminism, Surrealism, & Baroque Art. Extrapolating from that, I guess I like the extremes of either pastels or really bold colors, the interplay of dark/light & shadows with a close focus on the subject involved where the background can vary from nothingness to a whole piece in itself.

I always end up feeling charmed/moved by anything with a strong sense of aesthetic or personality, as annoyingly vague as that probably is. If you're an artist who likes visual reference points of the various, (non-exhaustive) styles that I enjoy, I have some examples linked in a past letter.

I would love art for any of these fandoms! I like both serious portraits and funny little cartoons. I have a soft spot for art in which one character is doing something typical-but-alarming, and the other is rolling his or her eyes, or reacting with horror, or getting ready to douse them with a bucket of water, or whatever. Stylistically, I love interesting and experimental compositions, unusual perspectives, emphasis on textures such as hair and clothing, and scenery porn (Mountains! Trees! Cliffs with water crashing on them! Brooding ruins of an ancient castle!) and I like line drawings as well as full color.
