FANDOM NAME: Letterkenny WHAT MAKES IT GREAT: As the opening screen of each episode says, there are 5000 people letterkenny, these are their problems. The town has some basic cliques; the farmers, the skids (drug users) and hockey players, and a lot of the show is about how these different sets of main characters interact. One of my favourite things about this show is how each group has their own very distinct dialects. Here’s a great takedown by two of the hicks to two hockey players.
One of the really cool things about this show is the sexual diversity. There’s a swinger couple, a hypersexual pansexual bartender, a gay preacher, and at least one queer character in each clique. A scene that made the rounds on Tumblr of the two main hockey guys making friends with two gay guys (who appear multiple times in later seasons)
As much as I love Wayne and Daryl, (who I also ship) I’ll be nomming Reilly, Jonesy, and Katy. I love the early season canon poly, and despite the later breakup, can see the trio working their shit out in any of the seasons.
