FANDOM NAME: Kaminari (a manga/anime found within the Rain Webcomic) WHAT MAKES IT GREAT: Kaminari has wings but can't fly. all the delightful angst of being rejected from one society for trait A but rejected from another society for trait B. Kaminari's determination to save as many lives as she found children's graves. The implicit trans metaphors including Kaminari's determination that she will be herself and keep her wings no matter that it makes her an outcast on the ground. Plus as a fictional manga there's also so much room for worldbuilding and establishing characterisation and I'd love to see more of it. (The webcomic author has explicitly given permission for people to write fanworks) WHERE CAN I FIND IT (optional): the first episode of the anime shows up in the webcomic starting here and continuing for three pages (click "next" twice), and there's a summary of the plot and major characters from the manga here. Or I've compiled a masterpost of pages containing "canon" kaminari content (and characters talking about the canon) for maximum lore as a springboard for further worldbuilding/storytelling, which i will post as a comment replying to this one. The webcomic takes several hours to consume but the Kaminari content within should take less than an hour
