I see. I'm not personally familiar with the musical or any of its film versions, and maybe asking for pre-canon fic helps in this case - I don't know how big the differences are. It looks the version you are requesting does not have a scene in which Perchik is arrested at a workers' rally in Kiev. The film also seems to have a longer version of the scene in which Perchik leaves to start a revolution - this may affect characterisation that is important to you. If someone offers the musical and prefers it to the film, it may feel to them as though you're asking for a different version of canon than the one they have agreed to write for your request.
