FANDOM NAME: Young Woman with Unicorn, by Italian painter Raphael, 1505-1506
WHAT MAKES IT GREAT: Well first of all it looks extremely great, look at that :

I love the mystery of it. BUT what makes it even greater is the history of the painting: it's full of enigmas, and the different layers of the painting make up for a very cool prompt, if you ask me.
When the painting was first uncovered, it looked like this:

Someone had covered the unicorn during the 17th century by adding clothes and writing material to the painting. Why? We don't know. What is it about that unicorn that needed to be kept secret ? Or is the last layer the last part of the young lady's story?
Last but not least, further examination of the first layers of the painting revealed that the unicorn was modeled after a dog.
Used to be a dog. I mean, there is a metamorphosis story to be told here, or something of the kind.

Is the unicorn a familiar, a daemon of some sort? What about the young lady? Unicorns are often associated with unmarried women, is something up with that? Is she a witch in Renaissance Italy? I'm really fascinated by it, and I think it would make for a great fantasy/magical realism story in a cool historical setting. And the mystery, of course.

WHERE CAN I FIND IT?(optional) Well, in Galleria Borghese, in Roma (went there, saw it, it was excellent). But otherwise I just handed it to you, it's literally a 10-seconds fandom! You can look at the Wikipedia page for more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Woman_with_Unicorn.
