IF YOU ARE UNASHAMED OF BELIEVING IN THE LORD JESUS OR HIS UNWORTHY SERVANT WHO WEEPS WHENEVER SHE THINKS OF HIM THEN SHARE THIS POST.
Margery would have loved the internet. Loved. It.
Tanakh
Four great AUs - In Spaaaace!
The Book of the Queens of Old Earth in Exile Esther/Vashti
The alien species, the Psyn, raise noble-born Terran women to act as Liasons to their empress. Vashti has just been summarily dismissed from her post, and must wait for the new Liason to be chosen.
The Citadel
Vashti has abdicated from her position as consort. Her successor contacts her for advice on helping to run a planet-spanning realm.
The next two were written for me.
no rebel, no renegade Jonathan/David
On a tiny space station far from Benjamin Moon, Jonathan, crown prince of Israel, fights giants in the darkness and speaks to the king. Beautiful use of the source material and an incredible sense of tragic inevitability.
My Cousin, My King Saul/Abner
Saul goes looking for his family's lost terraforming robots and finds a destiny. Another great use of the material of 1 Samuel.
