WHAT MAKES IT GREAT: Romeo x Juliet is the story of the two warring families, the Capulets and Montagues...in the sky! Verona is a floating city and there are pegasi, or dragonhorses. In this anime, the Capulets were taken out by the Montagues except for Juliet, who now lives disguised as a boy...who is also the Red Whirlwind, a vigilante who fights for the people against Montague oppression! She sneaks off to a ball to accompany her friend and meets Romeo, right before she finds out she's the last Capulet heir and must lead their allies in a fight against the Montagues. The characters in the tagset are Juliet and her cousin Tybalt, who in the anime has underworld connections and really has a personal grudge to settle with the Montagues.
If you like pseudohistorical fantasy and anime, with tragic drama and blatant but sweet romance, you might like this! There's also a mix of little Shakespeare references here and there, including Juliet knowing the playwright. I like both the Japanese and the English dub; if you watch the English one, the speech tries to sound a bit theatrical, so check it out if you think that might appeal to you!
WHERE CAN I FIND IT?(optional): It was released by Funimation, and can be bought as DVDs or viewed on Funimation's site or app if you are subscribed to their service.
