Prompts: I love structured poetry. It doesn't have to be formal or in iambic pentameter or anything, but I'm a sucker for sonnets, pantoums, and sestinas (sestinae?). I don't have specific prompts for my fandoms but would be thrilled to get poem treats for any of them!

I'd be delighted to receive poetry for a specific one of my fandom requests:
Santa's Husband - Daniel Kibblesmith & A. P. Quach
Characters: Any of Santa Claus, David Claus, or the Elf Union Negotiator
While not marketed as a children's book (I bought my copy in the humour section), Santa's Husband is an all-ages story written in the style of a picture book. It isn't written in verse but I think the tone of the story lends itself to that very well, and I'd love to get poetry about Santa and David being sweet together, or a day in the North Pole workshop, or anything inspired by the prompts at my letter linked above (also, a heroic poem detailing the Elf's amazing deeds - as a union rep negotiating contract details - would be amazing).

Mod notes on poetry as a gift
-A poem can fulfil an assignment
-It's OK to sign up hoping to write poetry
-However, if signing up hoping to write poetry, please make a good faith effort to choose offers where you have a high likelihood, from whatever information is available to you, of matching with someone who is positive about poetry. Going on types of canon, letters, etc
-Since a lot of people may not expect poetry, please ask through mods about poetry if you're not sure if your recipient is cool with it (yes, that means we're calling it opt in)
-If you get a "no", you may not write poetry for that person. You may write prose or default
-We may clarify this next year
-Meanwhile, we encourage people to DNW poetry if they don't like it, but as stated above, for the moment, a lack of that DNW (when there's no other indication to indicate the recipient's preferences) is not assumed to be permission
-We also encourage people to opt in clearly to various formats if they think they're awesome and cool and would suit their canons!
Poems that are shorter than 1k words or do not fulfil another criterion for a main gift (for example, some rather than all requested characters) must go in the Madness collection rather than the main collection.

Characters: Torisen Blacklord, Jamethiel "Jame" Priest's-bane

Prompts: Any form or lack of form is fine, but I do rather like things that use structure and form to present emotional moods. Also the syllable metered western forms are really fun to see!

(Anonymous) 2018-10-22 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)Fandom: This is Spinal Tap
characters: David St Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel
Poetry Prompts: A funny rhyme, verse or limerick (!) inspired by the world of Spinal Tap. If you feel at all inclined to write anything like that, however short or long, I'd be thrilled to receive it as a treat! (Note: To avoid all confusion: in case you were matched to write for me on this fandom and you see this post, I'd like to receive prose for my main Yuletide fill. Thank you!)
I've put Nigel and David as characters here, but please feel free to include other characters from the movie too. I would prefer no slash (unless you have a killer idea for a super funny slash rhyme, in that case go right ahead! Really, receiving humor is my main objective here.)
I don't have a letter, but should you want more info about my likes and dislikes please find my general Yuletide prompt on AO3 below:
Hello and thank you so much for writing for me!!!
I was so excited when I saw this was nominated for the tag set! I am a big fan of classic rock, and this mockumentary is just sooooo spot on; it's almost a real documentary at times. The absurd humor, all the tragi-comical scenes, the drummer being interviewed in the bath tub, the drummer disappearing in a hail of smoke at the end, the scene with the dwarves dancing around the miniature Stonehenge, Nigel being super jealous of David's girlfriend, the amplifiers going up to 11... I love it all!
Anything at all you could write about the band (I know I only selected David and Nigel, but I love Derek with his big moustache and all the others too, so feel free to add any other character you like) that's in line with the tone of the original movie, would make me very very happy.
My favorite quote: David St. Hubbins, when asked what he would like to have engraved on his headstone: 'Here lies David St. Hubbins... And why not!'
Rating-wise anything from T to E is fine with me.
Do not wants: slash, genderbending, sex changes, AUs, character bashing (jokes in the line of the movie are obviously fine!) and crossovers, except with the bands Whitesnake or Deep Purple (in the 1974 line-up).
Thank you!!

Request 1 by HYPERFocused Fandom: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams
Zaphod Beeblebrox (Hitchhiker Book) Ford Prefect (Hitchhiker Book) Arthur Dent (Hitchhiker Book)
Request 2 by HYPERFocused Fandom: The Orville. Alara Kitan , Isaac (The Orville) Ed Mercer (The Orville) Pria Lavesque
I'm not sure what I'm looking for here. I'll leave it up to you.
Request 3 by HYPERFocused Fandom: Sharknado (Movies)
Finley "Fin" Shepard April Wexler Nova Clarke. Something silly seems likely, my prompts are quite cracky, as are the movies, but if your muse takes you somewhere else, go for it.
Request 4 by HYPERFocused Fandom: Die Hard (Movies)
John McClane Matt Farrell. I'm not sure what to request here, so whatever moves you. Any rating.
Request 5 by HYPERFocused Fandom: Corrina Corrina (1994)
You can keep your Mad Men. This was the period piece advertising fandom of my heart. Poetry went through a lot of changes during this time. Anything that fits the era, or otherwise inspires you. Jingles and lyrics would be cool, too.

Epistory - Typing Chronicles (Video Game) • Protagonist
Go Fug Yourself (Blog) • Princess Anne, Princess Charlotte
Oxford Time Travel Universe - Connie Willis • Colin Templer, Polly Churchill
Toliver's Secret - Esther Wood Brady • Ellen Toliver
Poetry likes: Villanelles are my absolute favorite form. I’m also very fond of limericks. Beyond that, I like poetry with any sort of strong form...sonnets, sestinas, pantoums, but ballads and other less complex forms too. I also think pastiches are very cool, whether of well-known or not-so-well-known poems. I’m equally interested in poems that tell a story and in poems that just explore some aspect of the requested character(s).
Prompts: I'm pretty open on topics, so if you have an idea for one of these fandoms, go for it! A random prompt for each of my fandoms, in case you want more to work with... Toliver's adventure as a pastiche of the Highwayman. The Epistory protagonist muses about her relationship with foxes. Anne & Charlotte correspond via limericks. One of the hints Colin finds in the old newspapers is in the form of a poem.
