New Year's Resolutions: Off to a Good Start

What is the New Year's Resolutions collection about?
Yuletide's New Year's Resolutions collections exist for three main reasons:
Can anyone take part?
Yes! Anyone may post a story. You will need an AO3 account.
What are the requirements for a work?
If you are writing a NYR story to allow you to sign up to Yuletide again, then your story must be at least 1,000 words, written as a gift, avoiding your recipient's DNWs, using a past Yuletide prompt, and written in a fandom that would have been rare enough for Yuletide 2017. (See the 2017 eligibility rules.) You may also be required to write a story that is for a different fandom & recipient than your last assignment, if you uploaded a placeholder story for that assignment.
If you aren't posting to clear your 'ban' status, then your work can be of any length, and fandoms that have become too large for Yuletide since they were requested are OK.
Where are the prompts?
2017's prompts are available on AO3, in a downloadable text file, and in an app. Prompts from pinch hitters who weren't signed up can be found here and here, and are also included in the app. For older prompts, try looking at the dashboards of previous NYR collections, such as New Year's Resolutions 2017.
